Company

For 81 years, we've achieved success through our ability to innovate, placing a clear emphasis on how we best serve our customers’ needs. As demand continues to grow, we have expanded rapidly, now delivering a superior range of dry goods, frozen and chilled products, fresh seafood and meat, confectionery, paper products, and cleaning solutions.

In recent years, we’ve seen significant growth and invested in our systems and processes, building a close partnership with Woolworths Group that has continued to deliver high-quality service for our customers and suppliers.

In 2024, Woolworths moved to a 100% interest in the PFD business, bringing PFD exciting opportunities as a strategic part of the Group. Sharing expertise across both teams will ensure our continued success and drive further growth and unlock our collective potential.

About this Position

This is a newly created role that puts you at the heart of PFD’s digital transformation. With Salesforce rolling out across the business, we need seamless connections between Salesforce, our in-house MFG system (stock management & order-taking), and other core applications.

You’ll be the go-to expert for Informatica, owning the design, build, and optimisation of integrations that allow systems to talk to each other and enable efficient data flows across the business. There’s no rigid playbook and you’ll get to put your stamp on this role, shape how integrations are delivered, and play a key part in how PFD operates in the 21st century.

At PFD, we bring people together through food. In this role, you’ll be bringing our people, systems, and data together so we can continue delivering on that purpose.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Informatica IDMC, PowerCenter, and IICS.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources including databases, APIs, cloud storage, and streaming services.
  • Optimise mappings, workflows, and sessions to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Build real-time and batch data processing solutions across hybrid environments (on-prem + cloud).
  • Implement data quality, governance, and security controls (RBAC, audit logs, encryption).
  • Partner with developers, app owners, supply chain teams, and sales platform teams to deliver integrations that meet business needs.
  • Document integration processes and provide knowledge-sharing to uplift capability.
  • Stay current with Informatica features and continuously enhance how integrations are delivered.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

  • Deep expertise with Informatica IDMC, PowerCenter, IICS (CDI, CAI, CDQ), and Informatica Cloud.
  • Strong SQL/PLSQL skills across relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Databricks, Redshift).
  • Experience with cloud services (AWS Glue, Databricks) and hybrid cloud integrations.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, REST, JSON, XML, and web service integrations.
  • Proven background in performance tuning, pushdown optimisation, and parallel processing.
  • Knowledge of data governance, lineage, metadata management, and MFT technologies.
  • Shell scripting experience (Bash, PowerShell) to automate workflows.
  • BI/DW project experience with SDLC methodologies (Agile/Waterfall).
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence) and GitHub.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

What Success Looks Like

  • Salesforce and MFG are seamlessly integrated, supporting the business with accurate, real-time data.
  • Diverse applications within the PFD ecosystem are connected, enabling smooth, efficient data flows.
  • Integration roadmap milestones are met, starting with the critical Salesforce + MFG connection.
  • Internal teams trust and rely on the integrations, with minimal disruption and maximum efficiency.
  • You leave your mark by building a modern integration backbone that shapes how PFD works for years to come.
